“Effective January 1, 2018 all applicants applying for a public passenger endorsement will now be charged an additional $75.00 fee to cover the processing of state criminal record checks. This fee is required per Connecticut General Statute 29-11(c) and will be collected in addition to the $12.00 FBI criminal record check. One check made payable to Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for $ $87.00 will need to submitted for each applicant. If the correct fee is not submitted the application will be returned and the processing time will be delayed. All applications received by the agency on January 1, 2018 will be required to pay the new fee.
